Several years ago, my belly dance teacher Mara offered me classes in Polynesian dance. Since then, I have come to enjoy the serene sounds and graceful movements, so similar to those of Middle Eastern dance. I perform Tahitian, traditional Hawaiian chants and European-influenced dances (you know, the slow stuff).
